Congratulations to Troop 629’s newest Eagle Scout – Drew Jackson! Drew passed his District Board of Review on February 23rd. His recognition ceremony will come in the near future, but until then be sure and congratulate Drew the next time you see him!
Summer Camp is just around the corner, and registration to ensure your class selection is due March 27th. If you have not signed up yet, please do so ASAP. New scouts – don’t worry about class selection as we have a standard set of classes selected for you. For everyone, please be mindful of the dates for the rest of the forms (including Health Form Parts A, B, and C) and payments.
In March we’ll be attending the District Camporee at Woodruff with 700+ other scouts! Flyers for the April (Callaway Gardens) and May (Renaissance Festival) outings should be out soon. We are coming to the deadline to decide if we will be sending any crews on High Adventure trips in 2024, please see me if interested.
Lastly, let’s talk about Adult Volunteers. The Troop is always in need of help behind-the-scenes, and a lot have recently stepped up to that challenge – thank you! But we also need additional registered volunteers to go on outings. Any of the next few outings would be great easy trips to get into the swing of how the Troop works. And please consider joining us for the week of Summer Camp – we need at least 6-7 adults to go and make things run smoothly. Summer Camp is also a great time to get to know the scouts and other adults within the Troop. Please see Mr. or Mrs. Hundt for additional information.
